Buyer Experience

The main page where you can browse, select and purchase products is called the Shop page. You can do so by scrolling down or if you wish to browse products in greater detail, you can either click on Shop on the header navigation, or click Shop All Products on the right part of the screen. Note that you can also click on Shop by Category on the right part of the screen which will take you to a page where you can view and select a specific category that you are interested in.

As mentioned above, clicking on Shop or Shop All Products takes you to the products page of the shop where you can Search for a specific product by name, Select a CategorySort by Price and use Filters on the left part of the screen to make your search more specific by using components from the Category TypeBrandOrder Type, etc.

To choose a product you wish to purchase, you simply need to click on the product card.

This action will take you to the page where you can view information like product name, price, description, as well as selecting the quantity of said product. In order to purchase products, you need to have a UCX account created. If you do not have one and wish to learn how to do that, please see our article on Creating a Buyer Account. Next, click Login on the top right corner of the screen.

Then, fill in the information using the chosen 
Username or E-mail and the Password, and click Login.

Note that there are three Order Types for the products, namely Add to CartRequest to Order and Request a Quote. You can also filter your search based on this categorization. 

Add to Cart

This option allows you to purchase a product by going through with the payment. In this case, the button to continue forward is Add to Cart. Clicking on the button opens a pop-up window where you can go to your cart or continue shopping. Click View Cart to proceed.

After clicking View Cart you are directed to a page where you can see your Order Summary. This includes information such as the namequantityprice, and shipping. Click Continue.

Now you are on the Order Payment page where you enter your Credit CardBilling Address and Shipping Address information respectivelyAfter providing all the required information, click Continue on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Lastly, you will be able to view all the information regarding the product you just purchased, on the Confirm Order page.

Click Pay on the bottom right corner of the screen. This will again open a pop-up window confirming that the order went through. From there, you can Continue Shopping or View Orders. Clicking View Orders takes you to the Orders section of your profile where you can view the latest order in addition to the history of your previous purchases.


Request to Order
 

In the product view page, you can see that some of the products other than having the Add to Cart
 option for the payment method, can also have Request to Order.

This means that when you click on Request to Order you are directed to the next page where you need to provide the Billing Address information only and the credit card information is not needed. After filling in the information, click on Request to Order again and you will be directed to the product order summary where you can view all the information needed for your order. A specialist will then contact you regarding the pricing. 

Request a Quote


The last option for the payment method is 
Request a Quote. When you go to the product view page, you can see that this method does not include pricing so it also does not require any credit card information. Click on Request a Quote and provide the Billing Address.

Afterwards, click on Request a Quote again. This action will take you to the page where you can view all your product information. A specialist will then contact you and you can agree on a price.
