Shopify Integration

You now have the option to connect your Shopify stores with the UCX account. This gives you the opportunity to expand your reach and present your products to a greater number of customers. By doing so, you benefit from a simple process of synchronizing your products, orders, refunds and inventories. 

Follow the steps below to connect your Shopify store to UCX:

1. Go to 
Integrations on the application navigation bar and click on Shopify on the left menu.

2. Click on Add Shopify account to open a pop-up window where you need to enter the API KeyPassword, and the Website URL. 

Note that you need to go to your Shopify Admin in order to receive this information.
3. In your Shopify App Store, go to 
Apps on the left part of the screen and click on Manage Private Apps.

4. Click on Create new private app.

5. After clicking Create a new private app, you are directed to a page where you need to fill in the information as in the following image:

6. We strongly recommend using “UCX” as the private app name to help you identify the app easier.
After you are done, click Save. 

Next, you can find the information needed to link your Shopify account with UCX, namely the key, Password, and the Shopify store URL (the URL will be in the format https://[your-shop-name] and should be used in the original form, including the Shopify domain URL).

If you have connected your Shopify store to a custom domain name, you will still need to use your original Shopify store URL in order to connect with UCX.

7. While getting the API Key, Password, and the Shopify store URL, you need to scroll further down to the Admin API Permissions section and select the Read and Write option for all settings, to be able to use the private app.

8. Go back to the Shopify Integration page on UCX and enter the information you obtained.

9. You are now able to synchronize your products from Shopify to UCX. You can do so by clicking the Sync products from Shopify button on the same page.

Clicking on the button will initiate the synchronization with Shopify and it will look as below:

After the synchronization is done, you will receive a notification on the top right corner informing you that the products have been successfully synchronized.

It is important to note that you can link more than one Shopify store to UCX. After linking the first store, you can see that the Add Shopify Account button is still active and you can use it to add more stores. If you click the Sync products from Shopify button after adding the second account, products from both Shopify stores will start synchronizing and be displayed on the Products page.

10. Click on the Products tab on the application navigation bar to see all products synchronized from Shopify. There is a column named Shopify Account on the Product List which differentiates the products synchronized from Shopify.

You can choose to synchronize specific products only, by clicking on a product and opening the Product View page. Clicking the Sync with Shopify button synchronizes the product with its counterpart in the Shopify store without affecting other products. If a particular product setting is changed in the Shopify page, that same setting will be changed in UCX following the next synchronization.

Orders, inventory and refunds can also be synchronized.
Orders – New orders made in UCX are sent automatically to the connected Shopify store. Orders will be synchronized for Shopify products purchased in UCX and also for purchased products that are created only on UCX. If there are more than one Shopify store connected to the UCX account, the orders will be reported to each store separately.
Inventory – When the product synchronization is done as shown above, the inventory information is transferred from Shopify to UCX as well. Additionally, every time a product is purchased, a sync check is performed and the inventory for that product is synchronized in real time. In Shopify, you have the option to select whether you want to continue or stop selling once the product is out of stock. If the option to continue to sell is selected, that product can be sold in UCX with a negative inventory displayed. The inventory is synchronized to the specific Shopify store that is connected (in cases where there’s more than one store connected).
Refunds – If an order made in UCX is sent to Shopify and needs to be refunded, that refund can be done in UCX and the status of that refund will be sent to Shopify. Note that the refund can only be initiated in UCX for orders made there, and not for orders made in Shopify. 

You can view or edit your Shopify Integration settings by clicking the three dots on the Shopify account information page and then clicking 
Sync Settings as shown below:

This action takes you to the Shopify account sync settings page (dashboard) where you have the option to check or uncheck various settings related to Orders and Products in regard to Shopify and the synchronization process.

Shopify account sync settings:

Send orders from UCX to Shopify (The orders placed in UCX will be sent to the respective Shopify store)

Keep UCX inventory in sync with Shopify (The inventory is received from the Shopify store and synchronized with the UCX one. If disabled, the quantity stays the same from the last synchronization to the next one, or until they are manually edited from the UCX account) 

Delete products from UCX if deleted in Shopify (Deleted products in the Shopify store are removed from the UCX account as well. If disabled, the verification process in the synchronization skips the check if that product exists in the Shopify store or not) 
Sync product images from Shopify to UCX (Product images are obtained from the Shopify store, whereas  any product images added from the UCX account are deleted. If disabled, this option allows the images added on the UCX account to remain)
Sync product description from Shopify to UCX (The product description is synchronized from the Shopify store. If disabled, the product description stays empty)
Sync product name from Shopify to UCX (Product names are added from the Shopify store to the UCX account. If disabled, the names stay the same from the last synchronization to the next one, or until they are manually changed in the UCX account)
Product tax code (if present) - (Tax codes are obtained from the Shopify store. If disabled, the tax codes remain the same from the last synchronization to the next one, or until they are manually changed in the UCX account)
Product Price (Product prices are always obtained from the Shopify store. If disabled, the prices stay the same from the first and last synchronization, or if the new price has been set manually in the UCX account)
